Characteristics of titanium alloy rods

1. Titanium alloy rod has high heat generation

The working temperature is several hundred degrees higher than that of aluminum alloy, and it can maintain the required strength at moderate temperatures. When working for a long time at 450-500 ° C, the specific strength is still high within the range of 150-500 ° C. The specific strength of aluminum alloy decreases at 250 ° C, while the working temperature of titanium alloy can reach 500 ° C. The working temperature of aluminum alloy is below 200 ° C.

2. Titanium alloy rods have good corrosion resistance

Titanium alloy has significantly better corrosion resistance than stainless steel in humid atmosphere and seawater, and has good corrosion resistance to corrosive substances such as alkali, chlorine, chlorine, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, etc. However, titanium has poor corrosion resistance to reducing oxygen and chromate media.

3. Titanium alloy rods have good low-temperature performance

The mechanical properties of titanium alloys can be maintained at low and ultra-low temperatures. Titanium alloys with excellent low-temperature performance and extremely low gap design elements, such as TA7, can maintain a certain degree of plasticity on their own at -253 ℃. Therefore, the development of titanium alloys is also regarded as a material with important low-temperature product structures.

4. High strength titanium alloy rod

The density of titanium alloy can be analyzed to be generally around 4.5g/cm3, which is only 60% of that of steel. In our company, the strength of pure titanium is only close to that of ordinary steel. Some problems have high strength, and the strength of titanium alloys exceeds that of many related research alloy structural steels. Therefore, the specific strength (strength/density) of titanium alloy is much higher than other metal industrial structural design materials, which can produce parts with high working strength, good rigidity, and light weight.
